چکیده

Due to their properties, silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) are widely used in consumer products. The widespread use of these products leads the release such into environment, during manufacturing, use, and disposal stages. Currently there is a high margin uncertainty about impacts nano on environment human health. Therefore, different approaches including life cycle assessment (LCA) being evaluate environmental health In this paper, comparison between four AgNP synthesis methods was conducted. addition, textile that contain AgNPs were subjected using LCA analysis assess public SimaPro modeling platform. Study results indicate alternative (green) will not necessarily reduce synthesizing process. To best our knowledge, first study has compared assessed burdens associated with nanosilver-based at scenarios. 1 kg modified Tollens’ method resulted 580 CO2 eq, while 531 eq from chemical approach. Furthermore, manufacturing stage had highest overall as other processes product, product utilization stages ecotoxicity. Sensitivity revealed under two scenarios incineration landfilling, sensitive amount AgNPs.

Prospective Environmental Life Cycle Assessment of Nanosilver T-Shirts

A cradle-to-grave life cycle assessment (LCA) is performed to compare nanosilver T-shirts with conventional T-shirts with and without biocidal treatment. For nanosilver production and textile incorporation, we investigate two processes: flame spray pyrolysis (FSP) and plasma polymerization with silver co-sputtering (PlaSpu). Prospective environmental impacts due to increased nanosilver T-shirt ...

A Life Cycle Assessment of the Cotton Textile Chain

Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is a systematic evaluation of the potential environmental impact and resource utilization of a product from raw material through disposal. Underlying the LCA is the Life Cycle Inventory or LCI, a quantification of energy and material inputs and environmental release or emissions data associated with product creation and use. The primary purpose of this project was to...

assessment of the efficiency of s.p.g.c refineries using network dea

data envelopment analysis (dea) is a powerful tool for measuring relative efficiency of organizational units referred to as decision making units (dmus). in most cases dmus have network structures with internal linking activities. traditional dea models, however, consider dmus as black boxes with no regard to their linking activities and therefore do not provide decision makers with the reasons...

study of environmental impacts for potato agroecosystems of iran by using life cycle assessment (lca) methodology

life cycle assessment (lca) had proven to be an appropriate assessment tool for analysis of agri-food products by identifying, quantifying and evaluating the resources consumed and emissions released into the environment. this study was performed for evaluation the environmental impacts of potato agroecosystems based on nitrogen levels by using lca methodology. tuber yield mean during 1999-2013...
